<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> <em>Land Acquisitions/Permitting Project Manager</em></p><p><strong><em>This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.</em></strong></p><p><strong>Job Location:</strong> 17725 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77094</p><p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p><p>The Land Acquisitions / Permitting Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and review process of CBAC’s permitting projects, for its new store growth program. </p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><em>This will include, but not be limited to:</em></p><ul><li><em>Managing, reviewing and processing complex development and land use projects as a project manager</em></li><li><em>Facilitating development review meetings with cities, property owners, developers, consultants and staff</em></li><li><em>Interpreting design guidelines, land uses, zoning codes, and ordinances</em></li><li><em>Supervising planning staff on various department procedures and processes</em></li><li><em>Delegating work, reviewing work, effectively communicating inter-departmentally with the construction, finance, franchise, legal, and leadership teams on project timelines</em></li></ul>

Qualifications
<p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.</li><li>American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) preferred but not required.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><p>The ideal candidate must have at least 5-7 years of commercial permit and land development management experience. The requisite experience must include, but will not be limited to:</p><ul><li>Commercial and/or municipality permit development experience throughout the U.S.</li><li>Experience in managing outside consultants and professional services relationships</li><li>Excellent public speaking ability and experience addressing Planning/Zoning staff, Boards, and City Councils</li><li>Planning and engineering background strongly encouraged</li><li>Prior permitting project management experience</li><li>Strong ability to multi-task multiple projects</li><li>Must have the ability to outline a permitting path and entitlement process for projects</li><li>Experience in meeting facilitation</li><li>Experience in research, data collection and analysis</li><li>Technical writing experience</li><li>Experience with GIS</li><li>Analytical skills</li></ul><p><strong>Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong personal integrity and the desire to pursue our core values of Excellence and Transparency</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communications skills</li><li>A coachable self-starter, who is driven and focused</li><li>A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, who desires to pursue our Core Values of Joy and Neighborly</li></ul><p><strong>Key Areas of Accountability:</strong></p><ol><li>The Project Manager will manage 20-25 land development projects per year.</li><li>Must have intimate knowledge of each project at all times.</li><li>Must be able to know correct next steps for each project in each phase of development.</li><li>Must pre-identify potential issues and proactively address solutions.</li></ol>
